Athens ANIMFEST establishes the following awards:
- International Shorts Competition: 1st AWARD, 2nd AWARD, 3rd AWARD
- International Feature Competition: GRAND PRIX «Athena»
- Greek Shorts Competition: 1st AWARD, 2nd AWARD, 3rd AWARD
The winners will be granted with a certificate and an invitation to participate in the 3rd Animart, which will take place in Kalavrita, Greece (July 19-29, 2009) with all their training fees, accommodation and dining expenses covered.

- INTERGRAPHICS Award
The winner of the Greek competition section of short animated films will be able to attend in Intergraphics Educational Group for free a one-year educational program in 3d computer animation (advanced), 5.000 worth, or a one-year educational program in 3d computer animation (basic), 5.000 worth.
- Student Award for International Shorts Competition
- Student Award for Greek Shorts Competition
- Audience Award for the best animated film of the Festival
