THE EUROPEAN ANIMATION CENTER is a non-for-profit organization, a non governmental organization, that aims to bring the younger generation closer to the secrets and fascination of the art of animation and their diverse applications on the small and big screen, the multimedia, the Internet and education in general.

Special emphasis is given to European animation films, regardless of techniques, style and aesthetic trends thus demonstrating the common cultural heritage of the peoples of Europe.

Attention has also been paid to supporting the professional creativity of young people, through special audiovisual programs, thus enriching the limited production of animation films in Greece.

Finally, through this site an attempt is being made to create a reliable database so that new professional filmmakers will have direct access to all the information they need, covering the animation sector, on a pan-European level.

From August 2004, when the European Animation Center was established, up todate (March 2007) more than 35.000 viewers attended our projections, workshops, meetings, expositions and other activities, in Athens and the Greater Area.
