Just before the festival’s Closing Ceremony and the announcement of the 4th Athens ANIMFEST ’09 Awards, the Dirty Granny Tales' team presents a 20 minutes sample of their recent performance "Didi’s Son".







The Dirty Granny Tales' 20 minutes show culminates and closes in the most spectacular way the festival’s tribute in the Horror, Dark and Other Sorrowful Animation.


Mandolin, cello, bass, guitars, percussion and multiple voices, accompanied by puppet theater, dance theater and animation projections, are the pieces of the puzzle that compose the tales of the dirty granny.


The band’s influences range from Diamanda Galas, Danny Elfman, Tiger Lillies, Τhe Residents and Dimmu Borgir to Manos Hadjidakis, Japanese Gothic theater, etc.


"Dirty Granny Tales", after three years of performing their previous show "Inversed World", reappear in a story where the writer will become its hero…


The show "Didi's Son" is continuing until March 29th, 2009 at Roes Theater, Athens.
