In collaboration with CORTO DEL MED
Corto Del MED is a festival of Mediterranean shorts (fiction, documentary and animation) organised by AlterMED. Its scope is to promote young directors with a series of festivals (Greece, Senegal, France), giving them a chance to connect with distributors, producers, the public, and each other.
The 4th edition of the festival will be held in Avignon, France, from the 11th to the 14th of June. Organised as a competition, Corto Del MED also offers debates and workshops for the directors and the audience attending.

In Beirut, at a time where the water supplies are dried up, the people are plunged in chaos and driven by madness.
“Beirut”, is a short animated film where the main focus is not Beirut the city itself, but unfolds in it as the main character finds herself an outsider in her own environment.
The movie plays with the visual representation of the city. Beirut as a ruin; in a mixed media collage of today’s city in what seems to be a post-apocalyptic time, or simply a deviated truth of everyday Beirut, where the water resources happen to have run completely dry.
