Skrats (scratch) is a drawing on a 16mm film by engraving so the light can go through. It is a graffiti on the film itself. The drawings, projected one after the other, contradict each other and integrate creating an unpredictable picture.
The film started in 1971. in order to be used in a multi-projection environment, in concerts and performances.

This animation is inspired by the Greek embroidery and weaving tradition.
The little figures are transferred as they are to the digital world.
The love story of the protagonists leads to their escape from the embroidered background. The rest of the players follow them in the quest for freedom changing forever the rules of the chess board.

Ιt all has to do with a little love story which takes place on a chess board..
After several attempts, doubts and fears, the game of coming together/coming apart
ends up in the couple's joining together in union. United and robust, the dare to come out of the confines of the game and to risk the journey to the unknown. Yet along with them, all the players are carried away, changing and forever upsetting all preordained rules. Love once again proves its revolutionary character, which may lead from self-awareness to social upheaval and political action.
