Tributes 2009 : AFRICAN ANIMATION PANORAMA

Animated Films from African countries...

The films were selected by Mohamed GHAZALA, animator and Teacher Assitstant in Animation Department of Minia University, Egypt.

01. MISH-MISH EFFENDI IN NATIONAL DEFENCE

It considered to be the oldest surviving animated African film since 1939.
It's story is about Mish Mish Efendi, the hero who led the efforts to support the Egyptian army against Nazi army in World War II.

A fisherman set without work on the beach, and dreamed about a filled boat of fishes . he started fishing on his boat, and his net came very full with fishes . and he continued fishing even his boat is really full, until his boat broke with this heavy cargo. And he returned again to the beach without fishes.
