The writer Evan Spiliotopoulos was born in Athens, Greece and lives in Los Angeles...




Evan Spiliotopoulos made his feature debut as Writer with the cult science-fiction film "GangsterWorld", a tongue-in-cheek mix of film noir and Hong Kong movie genres featuring Jerry Doyle (Babylon 5), David Leisure (Airplane) and Sports Illustrated supermodel Stacey Williams.

His second film, "Legion", a sci-fi thriller described as a cross between "The Magnificent Seven" and "Alien" starred Terry Farrell (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine), Parker Stevenson, Rick Springfield, Troy Donahue and Corey Feldman.

This was followed by the thriller "Bare Witness", top-lining Angie Everhart, Daniel Baldwin and Kathleen Kinmont, and the William Baldwin-Ellen Pompeo starrer Art Heist for DrimTim Entertainment.

In 2001, Spiliotopoulos was hired by Walt Disney Pictures to co-write "Jungle Book 2", the sequel to the animated classic featuring the voices of John Goodman as Baloo, Haley Joel Osment as Mowgli and Phil Collins as Lucky, the vulture. The film went on to gross over a hundred million dollars theatrically worldwide and equally as much on home video.

His relationship with Disney continued with 2003's "The Three Musketeers", the first feature length project in history to star the legendary trio of Mickey, Donald and Goofy. "The Three Musketeers" was nominated for Three Annie Awards including Best Picture for a Home Video Release.
It was also nominated for three DVDX Awards:
- Best Director
- Best Song…
- Best Screenplay (for Spiliotopoulos).

His next animated feature, "Pooh's Heffalump Movie", featuring the voice of two-time Academy Award nominee Brenda Blethyn was released in 2005 and grossed over fifty million dollars worldwide.

This was followed by the dvd sequel, "Pooh's Heffalump Halloween".

Spiliotopoulos has also made writing contributions on the blockbuster dvd's "Lion King 1½", and "Tarzan 2".

Jumping between animation and live-action, Spiliotopoulos is working on:
- "Little Mermaid 3", animation for Walt Disney Pictures
- "One More Day For Hiroshima", the World War II courtroom drama for director Luis Mandoki and producer Bob Yari
- "Imaginary Children", the family comedy for Richard B. Lewis' Southpaw Entertainment
- "Terra", the animated science fiction epic for Snoot Pictures and director Aristomenis Tsirbas. Voices: James Garner, Brian Cox, Evan Rachel Wood.

- "Rules of the Hunt", a historical drama for Triquest Films
- "Fox Hunt", a spy thriller for Japanese master of suspense Hideo Nakata.
